Endoscopy Practitioner
About the Role
An independent healthcare provider in the UK, with a reputation for delivering complex surgeries and high-quality care, is seeking an Endoscopy Practitioner to join their team in the Endoscopy department. This full-time role requires a flexible shift pattern to support the needs of the unit.
What You’ll Need
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
- Competency/qualification in Endoscopy Care and Decontamination (basic and advanced).
- Operators Course in Endoscopy Decontamination.
- Teaching/Assessing/Mentorship qualifications.
- Knowledge of relevant standards and external regulatory bodies (e.g., Care Quality Commission, GRS, JAG, HTM 01-06).
- Intermediate Life Support (ILS) certified.
- GCSEs in Maths and English (grades A to C) or equivalent functional skills level 2.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Deliver quality planned care across the endoscopy patient pathway.
- Support the Endoscopy Practitioner Lead in managing and organizing care provision in the unit.
- Provide high-quality care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures within your scope of practice.
- Contribute to improving Essential Quality Requirements and Best Practice standards, including decontamination and clinical care.
- Enhance your professional knowledge and skills through ongoing development.
