Endoscopy Practitioner

About the Role

An independent healthcare provider in the UK, with a reputation for delivering complex surgeries and high-quality care, is seeking an Endoscopy Practitioner to join their team in the Endoscopy department. This full-time role requires a flexible shift pattern to support the needs of the unit.

What You’ll Need

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
  • Competency/qualification in Endoscopy Care and Decontamination (basic and advanced).
  • Operators Course in Endoscopy Decontamination.
  • Teaching/Assessing/Mentorship qualifications.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and external regulatory bodies (e.g., Care Quality Commission, GRS, JAG, HTM 01-06).
  • Intermediate Life Support (ILS) certified.
  • GCSEs in Maths and English (grades A to C) or equivalent functional skills level 2.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver quality planned care across the endoscopy patient pathway.
  • Support the Endoscopy Practitioner Lead in managing and organizing care provision in the unit.
  • Provide high-quality care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures within your scope of practice.
  • Contribute to improving Essential Quality Requirements and Best Practice standards, including decontamination and clinical care.
  • Enhance your professional knowledge and skills through ongoing development.
